The paved portion of the Deeside way ends at Peterculter. A mixture of off-road paths, quiet roads and sidewalks can then be followed all the way into the highlands around Ballater. While there are many caches on the first part of the Deeside way, the number of caches past Peterculter decreases rapidly; this cache attempts to remedy the situation.
The cache, a standard food container, is easily accessible from the Deeside way, with parking available at Culter station. My daughter was very keen to place her own cache (hence the name), after finding several caches on the Deeside way towards Aberdeen.
