The route is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs (though wheelchair users would need assistance for the last few metres) as well as bicycles and there are some outstanding views along the way as well as some tree-sheltered spots. Parking is available at Bedford Sawmills Car Park (Pay and Display) or at other entrances to the Devon Great Consuls Heritage Site.
