Moku or district is a land division of each Hawaiian island. After the Great Mahele, the islands were divided into districts. Prior to this, land was sacred to all and all who lived on the land used the land. However, foreigners’ influence changed this system and the land was divided up and deeded to land owners. These divisions of land are still recognized today.
On the island of Molokai there are five districts as shown in the map:
Kaluakoi, Koolau, Palaau, Halawa, & Kona.
Logging requirements:
In order to log a “Found it” for this cache, in addition to finding the cache and signing the log, you must first find one cache in each of the five moku of Molokai. So just 5 caches will bring you a smiley!
Your “Found” log should have a list of your 5 caches that includes: Moku, cache name, GC #, and date found. Only current active caches at the time you log count. Caches you own cannot be counted as finds. Without this correct list your “found” log will be deleted.
