History:
Monte San Savino was one of the first urban settlements in Tuscany, Italy. It originated around 1100, but a further century had to pass before Monte San Savino could be considered a centre of a certain social, political and cultural importance of Tuscany in those times.
The cache itself:
One can visit this beautiful old town with his historical places and buildings at first. A must see is the tower, part of “Palazzo Pretorio”, in the opposite of the Palazzo del Monte.
From the stately tower, which you can visit for free, one can admire the whole town and have a comprehensive view of Valdichiana.
Just outside the old town of Monte San Savino you will find a nice walk with a few pic nic places where you can go only for the cache or take a walk through a beautiful piece of nature.
The cache itself is hidden near a place where you can take a rest under the leaves of some static trees. Trees and leaves implicate GPS coordinates which are not always reliable, therefore I have a spoiler picture for you.
Enjoy Monte San Savino, the walk in the nature and this cache. If you like it you can always show your appreciation with a “Favorite”.
