Before getting married, I used to live just six-and-a-half blocks away from here... north at Van Ness and Broadway. After getting married, I lived six-and-a-half blocks away on Lafayette Park at Washington and Laguna. In either case, I used this cable car to commute to work down in the Financial District (even though I was a computer geek and not a FinWhiz). My kids loved to ride it up and down the hills as we headed towards the Embarcadero and waterfront, and I enjoyed the minimal waiting to load compared to the more popular Hyde Street line. There used to be a cache here that was frequently missing so I am taking it upon myself to ensure that this one sticks around.
Please be careful since this is a very busy corner, what with the traffic, pedestrians, Starbucks, Wells Fargo, taxi stand and hotel all within a few feet. Be sure to use all your stealthy skills to be unobtrusive. The cache is hidden in a manner to enable searching without getting too many stares. Use the hint! BYOP!
