Geocache Description:

Historic metal ammo box, easily reachable above eye level and appropriate for beginner cachers.

This cache is located in the Dawson Creek Visitor Centre, Train Station Museum and Natural History museum. The building was constructed in 1931 as the last stop on the Northern Alberta Railway, and is where 10,000 American Soldiers arrived overnight in 1942. Currently it houses the Visitor Information Centre, and the Railway Museum. The building includes the original station master's house, and the Natural History Museum. Everything in both museums was donated by locals from the Peace River Region and is ran by the South Peace Historical Society.
