Geocache Description:

This puzzle cache is the third of a series of themed puzzles in the area and has been created after having fun solving some of the Famous Berkshire Residents series. The cache is not at the posted co-ordinates, so it's not necessary to go there, but it might help you to physically do so and look around.

Solve the puzzle below by identifying person X, to find out the location of the cache container; a large camo bison-type container big enough to take a TB Dog Tag and small hitch-hiker.

  • Person X was born in the county and went to school here. In fact, they attended school with the team mellers 1st Lt. (and were in the same year) although they didn't really move in the same circles .
  • Initially following in their Father's footsteps, person X went on to study medicine at The University of Southampton, but they did not complete their degree.
  • Person X became particularly famous for their competitive and energetic endeavours and has many rewards and accolades to prove it, up to and including top honours at World Class level.
  • Person X was also an Olympian (both individually and with a team) but sadly never quite scored top honours in that arena.
  • Person X has been married twice and has 3 children.
  • Person X has worked as a TV commentator and motivational speaker (which mellers herself once had to sit through was privileged to listen to, when she worked for her previous employer).
  • Person X later did quite well at another national competition, although strictly speaking it wasn't particularly related to what made them famous. They managed a creditable 5th out of 10 places in an early example of something which has subsequently become a national institution.

Once you have identified person X, find their date of birth as
AB/CD/EFGH
in the format
DD/MM/YYYY
and the year they attained their best solo Olympic result as
JKLM
and apply those numbers to the following formula:
N 50° 5(A-B).C(D-E)(B+J) W 001° 0(D+E).(B+E)(M-B)(L-K)
