Have you ever been out in the elements searching for a cache and the CO has provided no hint? Making your search more difficult the CO didn’t list anything about the cache, you aren’t certain if you are searching for a tree bark, an alligator or a six-legged donkey.
You begin reading through the cache description trying to find some sort of clue within the text that would help narrow your search when suddenly it hits you…the cache owner named the cache (insert random cache name). Surely (insert random cache name) must be some sort of clue. Frantically you try to decipher the title only to discover that the cache name provides little insight to aide you in the discovery of the cache.
For example a cache named, “Blue Lotion Bottle”, surely you would assume… I’m searching for a blue lotion bottle. Upon discovering the cache it turns out that the container is not a blue lotion bottle, it’s not even blue and it’s not a bottle…instead it’s a Frisbee. Later when you are at some geocacher meet-up you see the owner of “Blue Lotion Bottle” and you ask, so what’s with the title? The response: “Well the day I hide the cache the sky was blue, I looked down at my legs and realized I needed lotion. While walking back to my car I picked up a bottle to keep the area clean.”
Though the storyline is not true (I just made it up) the point is valid. Keeping with random cache tradition I bring to you a cache name that has nothing, absolutely NOTHING to do with the cache. In fact it has nothing to do with anything around the cache. Thanks for reading and happy hunting.
