View on the North Side of Georgia Pass
BBQ Event Details:
This year, the main BBQ event will be in Fairplay at Mason's High Country BBQ with optional primitive camping nearby at Beaver Creek (see waypoint). Meet up at the posted coordinates in Fairplay at 5:00 pm for a fun evening of eatin', hanging out with fellow geocachers and telling 4x4 tales.
Dinner will be available for purchase at Mason's but everyone is welcome to the main BBQ event regardless of dinner purchase. Also, all geocachers are encouraged to attend the BBQ event, regardless of participation in the daytime 4x4 run.
If you plan to go on the daytime 4x4 run prior to the BBQ event, that's great, but if not, you should still plan to spend the day in the mountains prior to the BBQ event. There will be plenty to do for the day, including:
» Explore the area around Fairplay and Breckenridge.
» Enjoy one of the many activities available in the South Park/Fairplay area.
» Make a caching run over Boreas Pass (Spend the morning caching around Breckenridge
and then make the beautiful drive over Boreas Pass to Fairplay on the other side of the pass).
» Spend the day caching and exploring along route 285 (There are lots of things to see and many caches to
be found along 285 from Bailey to Fairplay).
» Plan your own adventure for the day.
BBQ Dinner:
Dinner will be available for purchase when you arrive at Masons.
Contests and Giveaways:
Raffle - Each attendee will receive one free raffle ticket for the prize giveaway.

Prizes Include:
» TBD
4x4 Bear Award - To be handed off annually.
The bear was carved and graciously donated by jmike for the 2007 4x4 event raffle. Sting25 won it at that event after having a little mishap on the trail during that day. Sting25 agreed to give the bear up to the next victim lucky person and the plan was hatched to make the bear an annual award. DogCatFxr won the bear at the 2013 4x4 event. Who will win it this year and what mishap accomplishment will it be awarded for?

"Will Attend Log":
Please include the following information in your will attend log:
» Number of people attending the BBQ event.
» If you are bringing a vehicle on the 4x4 run.
» If you would like to ride along with someone on the 4x4 run. Note: Please arrange your own ride
by contacting one of the drivers on the attendance list below that says they have extra seats.
» If you have extra seats for any riders on the 4x4 run and number of extra seats.
