The paths in this park are mostly paved and shady and wander throughout a large hilly area surrounded by the busy city of Hsinchu and its suburbs. The main circular path takes about 40 minutes to walk and has several overlooks that provide excellent views of different parts of the city of Hsinchu. Branching off of this main path, there are several other trails to explore. People come to this park to exercise but also to relax and spend time with their friends. We often see people drinking tea, sharing stories, singing and playing instruments, and laughing together at various spots throughout the park. Often, vendors can be found close to the Bo-ai entrance selling fruits and vegetables, coffee and tea, and local foods and treats. On the weekends, there tends to be a lot more people. No bikes are allowed. There are three different entrances. The Bo-ai entrance has convenient parking for motorcycles/cars (see the parking waypoint).
The cache is a small plastic tube. To find this cache you do NOT need climb down the steep hillsides on either side of the path that follows the crest of the hill. Please do not post pictures of the cache container.
