The cache is located outside of the church walls, accessed from the riverside. The climb is steep and can be slippery so take care, especially on the way back down. The cache itself is hidden at the base of the wall, and is big enough for a few small swaps. There's a gift in the log bag for the FTF. The tree cover may obscure the GPS readings slightly, but the hint should help you locate the cache.
The cache was placed to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the D'Day landings and specifically the capture of Pegasus Bridge, led by Major John Howard who is buried in the churchyard. There are several other servicemen who are buried here including Flt Lt Shannon of the Dambusters, Capt Creswell of the Ox and Bucks Regiment, Aircraftsman Upton, and Private Creswell, who was the son of the village schoolmaster and killed during WWI at the age of 18. With wonderful views across the Thames to Clifton Hampden Bridge, the church has 13th century origins but was rebuilt in the 1840s by Sir Gilbert Scott, who also designed the bridge and the school. If you have time it's worth looking around the church and churchyard. There is parking directly below the church except on Sundays when there is a service.
