Beyond this wall is a small blockhouse reinvested by Mother Nature. This enclosure is guarded by some fierce cows so you do not have to enter to find the box. Blockhouse Villey-Saint-Etienne is an infantry earthwork defended rifles with two small masonry shelters that protect soldiers. It was built from 1891 to 1892 to 216 meters in front of the fort Mordant and shelter # 1 fighting in the area north-east of the square of Toul. Its role is to monitor the road from Frouard. In 1914, the blockhouse could communicate by electric telegraph with the work of Mordant. In the 80s, the site housed the canine teeth refuge before moving to the fort of Mordant.
