Geocache Description:

There's just something about MUD that calls to kids, no matter what their age might be. Even "adult kids" find off-roading to be fun -- after all, what can go wrong???

CAUTION!!


DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS CACHE AFTER RECENT RAINS!!! THIS ROAD HAS
BEEN KNOWN TO CONTAIN DEEP MUD PUDDLES UP TO A WEEK AFTER A RAIN!!!

Where I grew up, any phone calls after 10pm are emergencies or bad news. When the phone rang just shortly after 10pm on the night in question, I soon found out it was both -- my "kids" were calling for a rescue from being stuck in the mud! Being the good-natured person that I am (and having a 4 wheel drive to boot) I headed out to see what they had gotten themselves into. After a bit of work, we managed to get their car unstuck and headed back to "civilization", but not until after we had placed a cache to commemorate the occasion.



First-to-find was reserved for the kids of honor themselves -- Thndrstrck and MidnightEyes -- who managed to remove enough mud from themselves so as to not get the empty log dirty. They wanted to remain "anonymous" so they are blurred out in the attached photos.
