Ouvrage ouest du vieux canton Traditional Cache

L’ouvrage ouest du Vieux-Canton se situe dans le secteur Nord-est de la place de Toul à 224 mètres d’altitude, entre l’ouvrage de Ropage et le fort du Vieux Canton. Sa construction a commencé en 1887-1888 en recevant 2 petits abris en maçonnerie.
En 1908, l’ouvrage est modernisé en recevant un abri bétonné qui possède la même configuration qu’un abri de combats.
Il possède une guérite blindée dont l’accès s’effectue depuis l’intérieur de l’ouvrage, trois entrées, une cuisine, un poste télégraphique et deux chambrées. Sa capacité est de 76 places couchées.
