Geocache Description:

This cache will bring you to a rest area along Rt.104 in Scriba. Here you will find an information board listing the significant commanders during the War of 1812. Were you aware of the history of this war in your local area? Many battles were won and lost throughout the state and country to preserve our newly-won freedoms. Here in Oswego County, hundreds of our ancestors fought in battles along Lake Ontario, including the Battle of Oswego in 1814 and the Great Rope Carry that followed.

The cache container is a small converted coffee container that is big enough for some small trade items and trackables. As always please return the cache exactly as you found it, so the next geocacher can have the some experience that you did.

Congratulations to ______________ for the FTF!
