Geocache Description:


In honor of GIG's 7th birthday, I've chosen a special location that will be in recognition of the first (and unofficial) dinner of the Girl's in Geocaching. Although this exact location doesn't match that first (and unofficial) dinner, the restaurant chain is right.

Seven years ago, I was honored to host the first official GIG dinner. I was instructed to write up the event page so that men would not want to attend. That event page is still one of my favorite write-ups and has been copied and used elsewhere in the world. http://coord.info/GC15W9Y

Now, men attend these dinners all the time and they can thank their forefathers for breaking down those barriers. I can remember Deermark, Mr. Stickinthemud, Doobies, and Superstuz wearing an apron, carrying a purse and submitting to having their fingernails painted. Ah, such happy times. (By the way, that apron is STILL riding around in the back of my car!)

Now for the details of THIS years dinner:

Where: Don Pablos, 8150 US 31 S., Indianapolis, IN 46240

When: October 14th, 2014 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Don Pablos has set aside the patio area for us. This is a fully enclosed heated/air conditioned area. Simply tell them you're with the geocaching group and they'll lead you there.

Since it's Halloween, feel free to don your costumes and celebrate in style. Everyone knows that I enjoy the opportunity to dress up in costumes. There will be no judging, no prizes.... so no pressure!

Please, please, please log your will attends so that I can give the restaurant an approximate head count.
