Geocache Description:

Standard Geocache in a county park in the Lilburn/Lawrenceville area of Gwinnett County. Not your standard drive by. Park Closes at Sundown

They finally finished the area that I had wanted to put the original, not exactly sure when it was completed but its open nonetheless. The cache area is off a walking trail, which is a 1.5-mile loop around. The cache is in the area of the halfway point so either way you will end up walking about 1.5 miles, however from the parking area your GPS will show you to be only a ¼ mile away from the cache site since the trail loops and twists around quite a bit. So don’t worry the cords and GPS are correct. The trail is paved so bring your bike, roller blades, roller skates, scooters etc. if you like. The cache is in a large painted ammo can. Be careful when visiting, I’m sure I looked strange to the people passing on the walking trail, had to stop a few times to pretend I was taking pictures of the trees. Also try to conceal the cache back best as you can. Feel free to make suggestions regarding the difficulty and terrain ratings.

I had originally intended to just move the original to this area when finished but folks seem to like the other one with the combination of the hill, fence, and trees. If you have not logged the first one, it’s just a short walk across the road.

*** 8-17-06 cache container has been replaced and cache has been moved a bit in hopes of preventing cache from being flooded again. Watch your step while hunting, while re hiding I noticed that there are several deep open stump holes in the area.
