This cache is situated near the second highest peak Varful Papusa (2508 m a.s.l.) in Retezat National Park. All access routes to the cache are quite demanding. There are three main possibilities:
1) from Lacul Bucura via Varful Pelegea
2) from Cabana Buta via Custura
3) from Poiana Pelegii (Gura Bucurei) via Custura
