I wanted to start a series to provide recognition for a specific set of folks. Although there are many people deserving of being recognized, I wanted to do so for a group that has previously been overlooked. These are NOT tribute caches (whatever they are). These are Attaboy and Attagirl caches for Randolph County Geocachers for surpassing the goal of 5,000 caches AND/OR for providing extraordinary adventures for geocachers. Each cache provides an affirmation that the geocacher has passed some milestone deserving of some recognition. I've been threatening to post this series for a while and NOW is the time.
Tadabailey has been around a while. As is the case with many of geocachers, and the Atta-person group in particular, they are surprising folks. The scruffsters you may see out sweating and walking on the trails are only one very real part of who these people are. Tada is great example of that. He is quiet but has a quick smile if you meet him or cache with him. If you've ever been to his annual Bailey's Chili Event his larger family sponsors you begin to see more. Tada has a passion for life, serving God, and serving mankind. Even having said that, how many ministers do you know with pilot licenses and caches in the wilds of Minnesota. When Tada gets his 5,000 we will recognize that here. His main recognition is for his Randolph Renegade series that continues to bring so many people to Randolph County to share its beauty, and for the comraderie he has made possible with his chili events and other efforts.
