As you will see there is a cracking view of the countryside here.
the small bings in front nearest you are belived to be from a small
local pit called the Hyndshaw Pit. There is not much information
about this pit, but there is reference to an accident at it.
There is also the remains of the old railway line here that came from the
west coast line ( Glasgow to London )and it heads past Castlehill
colliery then Hyndshaw pit and up to where Kingshill 1 colliery was,
and no dought futher afield.
There is allso the remains of Castlehill colliery which was landscaped
and allso the remains of Law hospital.
Futher afield you can see Waterloo, Wishaw, Hamilton Motherwell,
wind turbines at Eaglesham moor and on a good clear day you can even see Glasgow.
This can be a busy road at peek times.
