This is a cache series placed along the hiking/sking route "Prinsleden" as laid out in STF's magazine Turist #1 - 2013.
The cache is placed close to the Katterat train station on the railroad between Kiruna(Sweden) and Narvik(Norway). The station was built in 1902 and it was originally called Hundalen. In 1951, the station was renamed Katterat.
Once you found the cache the trail starts at the eastern end of the platform, head up over the tunnel along the dirt road that starts there. The next cache is in this series is Prinsleden - Djevlepasset.
The Prinsleden trail is around 115km (71 miles) in total and one should plan for 7-8 days to hike the entire length. It is highly recommended to do the hike from north to south starting at Katterat, take the train from either Kiruna or Narvik to get here.
