Geocache Description:

Walking the trail to the cache site you will be inside a Douglas-fir-Montane Spruce transition forest. There is oppourtunity to view wildlife, fish, kayak, camp or many other outdoor enthusiast activities. This particular spot has an abundance of species of ducks and birds and sometimes a pair of Blue Herons.

Browne Lake Provincial Park was established May 20, 2004 to protect the Interior Douglas-fir-Montane Spruce transition forest. The park is adjacent to an ecological reserve that protects the upper slopes of this ecosystem. There is a community of yellow-listed Lewisia pymgaea in a rock crop in the adjacent Browne Lake Ecological Reserve.

This is my first cache placement. So here's hoping I've done enough checking and rechecking the coodinates so you can enjoy this little-known about trail!

Going to this cache you will pass both Browne Lake and Long Meadow Lake. Browne Lake is a great fishing spot so bring your fishing poles along!

The trail itself is a typical forest trail and you will encounter exposed roots and maybe a windfall or two if there has been a recent windstorm, it is a gradual slope passing Long Meadow Lake. The cache is a rectangle lock 'n lock located in a spot you can observe, photograph the many species of ducks, birds, and if you are lucky, the Blue Herons that live there.
