The Paddle Steamer Industry was built in Goolwa in 1910 as a work boat for the SA Engineering & Water Supply Department and was purposely designed to work on the various locks and barrages and to remove snags, in order to ensured that the river was navigatable.
She became obsolete in the 1960s but was restored by volunteers in 1990.
Today the Paddle Steamer is a floating reminder of days gone by.
The PS Industry usually moors in Renmark near the location of the cache.
