The cache is located in the relatively untraveled northwest part of Beaudry Park, along the Cottonwood Trail. On most days, you will be able to enjoy this entire part of the forest all by yourself, as it doesn't get many visitors.
Parking is located off Highway #1 (Portage Ave) at either of the posted waypoints. The roads are mostly passable at times throughout the winter, but we would recommend you wait for park staff to clear them after big snowfalls and winter storms before attempting it. In the summer, you may wish to wait a few days after heavy rainfall before attempting to travel either of these mud roads.
Please do not block the gate (west access road) or the private driveway (east access road) with your vehicle.
The cache is winter-friendly, just like the park.
In the winter, access is also available from the main (south) part of the park via the snowshoe trails (not the ski trails), using the maintained river crossing.
However, please do not walk, hike, or snowshoe along the groomed cross-country ski trails, as per park policy.
A provincial park pass is required year-round. A pass cannot be obtained onsite.
