The Cypress Creek Greenway provides an exciting and achievable opportunity for a multi-purpose trail linking Broward County's western and eastern communities and neighborhoods in between. Part of the greenway runs through a linear park in Tamarac. We will be meeting at Tephford Park at 7:30am, Sunday, July 13. We will explain the plan at that time. The park is at the posted coordinates. This will be the starting point of our ride. This is an easy, leisurely bike ride.
The park was named in March 2008 after Brian Tephford, a Broward Sheriff's Office Deputy who was killed in the line of duty on November 12, 2006, while conducting a traffic stop in Tamarac. The park is between Southgate Boulevard and the C-14 canal, from Nob Hill Road, west to the Sawgrass Expressway
We will ride east from Tephford Park to Fern Forest Park. This is a 7 mile bike ride. We expect it to take approximately 4 hours from start to finish. We will mingle at the end of the ride.
BRING YOUR BIKE, PLENTY OF WATER, A HAT, SUNSCREEN, YOUR GPS AND THE CABLE FOR YOUR GPS!!!!
THIS WILL BE A LOT OF FUN!!!!
