The Wind in the Willows Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cache Effect: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Looking for a peanut butter container.  There is a park nearby, as well as an off road to park at for a short walk to the cache

The Chinook winds are the savior and the bane of Southern Alberta.  The wind brings the warm winds from the west that melts the snow allowing for cattle ranchers to have large herds of cattle that can pretty much graze all winter long.  It gives residents a break from continual snow in the winter, and some winter days can feel almost as warm as summer!  The wind can also bring headaches, sickness and ill humor to the residents of Southern Alberta.  The mountains seem to funnel the winds to blow even harder at times, but most of us are resigned to the the winds feeling that it is worth it to be able to live in this bountiful area.
