Codevigo (PD) è un Comune ricco di ambienti naturali da visitare e di storia. Si segnalano: la Chiesa di San Zaccaria e tra gli edifici civili Villa Grimani (visibile esternamente dall’argine sinistro del Bacchiglione) e Palazzo dei Merli a Cambroso, residenza di Alvise Cornaro (visitabile – attuale ristorante). Tra i prodotti tipici va ricordato l’asparago bianco di Conche (Codevigo), dal gusto pregevole e raffinato, e del radicchio. La zona si presta ad essere visitata in bici, grazie alle dolcezza e alla bellezza del paesaggio circostante. Segnaliamo l’Itinerario delle Bonifiche che, partendo dal fiume Bacchiglione presso l’oasi di Cà di Mezzo permette di scoprire la zona circostante. Territorio da sempre ricco d’acqua, porta testimonianza della vita rurale nei casoni, tipiche abitazioni delle campagne. Per approfondimenti sulla storia dei casoni clicca qui. La Valle Millecampi è uno straordinario esempio di paesaggio lagunare: in tale contesto si distingue per il buon stato di conservazione il Cason delle Sacche, il cui nome pare derivare dal fatto che sia stato costruito su una sacca che arriva sino alle campagne. È noto che il casone aveva la funzione di rifugio per i cacciatori benestanti che venivano in zona, spesso da Padova. In prossimità del casone si possono noleggiare bici e canoe per andare alla scoperta dei meravigliosi itinerari slow della valle (per info). Si segnala che è possibile giungere in auto al casone (per info) e che è disponibile un parcheggio non custodito: si consiglia di non lasciare nulla in macchina e piuttosto lasciarla aperta, per evitare episodi spiacevoli non così isolati, anche se in un ambiente magico.

Codevigo, in the Province of Padua, is a municipality rich of natural surroundings and historical buildings that you can go visit. We suggest you: St.Zaccaria Church, Villa Grimani (that you can view from the outside, standing on the left bank of the Bacchiglione River), Palazzo dei Merli in Cambroso, that was the ancient Alvise Cornaro’s residence (you can visit it, because, nowadays, it is a restaurant). We have to highlight two of the most typical products: you shouldn’t miss the opportunity to taste the white asparagus in Conche (near Codevigo), that is characterized by its fine flavour, and the chicory. The surrounding area is suitable for a visit by bike, thanks to its pleasant and beautiful views: it has always been full of water and it provides the evidence of the rural life by the casoni, typical countryside houses. The Valle Millecampi is an extraordinary example of a lagoon landscape: in this location we have to talk about the Casone delle Sacche (Coves Casone), thanks to its very good preservation state, whose name seems to originate from the fact that it was built on a cove that reached the countryside. It is well known that the casone was meant to offer a shelter to the wealthy hunters who came in this area, most often from Padua. By the casone you could also rent a bike or a canoe to go discover the wonderful “slow” itineray of the valley (for information). Moreover, you could reach the casone by car (for information see here), because the location is provided with a non-supervised parking: we have to advise you not to leave anything inside your car and to rather leave it open, in order to avoid regrettable and not so uncommon episodes, even in such a magical place.
