Geocache Description:

This park could be called a monument to concrete, steel, and rock.  Kitty-corner across the street is the courthouse square.  The courthouse is itself a piece of history; the fourth Llano County courthouse, built in 1893 and still in active use today.

Our patriotic county flies three flags, and you can see that one is the actual Stars and Bars, for the Confederate States (not the Southern Cross Battle Flag).

See the two statues to fallen soldiers:

To Our Confederate Dead 1861-1865

Fallen Heroes of WWI

And monuments to the subsequent wars:

Fallen Heroes of WWII

5 Monuments to 800+ WWII Veterans

Korean War and Vietnam War Veterans Monument

Llano County Desert Storm Troops

Afghan – Iraq War Monument
