Welcome to a very unique Geotrail: The Gadgets of Winchester Frederick County (GWFC). This is the second Geotrail in the area.
This new and exciting trail consists of 9 “gadget” caches. What is a gadget cache you ask? A gadget cache is typically easy to find but the cacher will have to do “something” in order to access the log.
Each cache in this series is very different from one another. Most are easy while a few could prove to be challenging.
The Winchester-Frederick County area is home to some very fun and creative caches. There are over 100 caches in our area and counting. Our area has caches that are certain to please everyone: regular caches, creative caches, gadget caches, mystery caches, you get the idea.

The Cache
Late one night Meister was working in the Meister Lab when a thought flashed through his mind: How about creating a cache that incorporates modern technology. With a mad scientist laugh Meister began feverishly working, parts and pieces flying this way and that. After the dust settled Meister was seen holding something and had a smile on his face. Thus was born Meister’s Hi-Tech Cache.
Please be sure to stop by and check out this one of a kind cache that’s sure to put a smile on your face once you figure out the secret to opening the cache. No tools or force are needed to open this cache so please be gentle opening the cache. To close the cache properly push fast and all the way back. Gently tug to make certain it latched please. If the cache did not latch push a bit harder.
