Cache of Christmas Past Traditional Cache

This geocache is on a relocated portion of the Foote Path. This part of the trail was moved to a higher location to avoid some of the wet areas. It is near the southeast corner of the park. A town sewer line was recently put in near the trail to serve a row of houses on Marney Drive. The vegetation has grown up so that the sewer line is scarcely visible now.

While Marney Drive may seem like the closest access point, the owners of the nearby houses would probably not enjoy geocachers walking through. Instead, we suggest using the access point for "The Park", following the blue blazes that mark the trail.

Nearby the cache, the remains of past Christmases lay to remind us the gifts our loved ones give us. In this case: a small, fun, (sometimes annoying) GPS hunt we geocachers give each other every day. 

The actual reason we found the name would be relavent to the cache: Someone seems to have found this a good place to throw away their old Christmas trees. Works for us!
