De wijk is gebouwd in de jaren ’60. De grote toegang tot de wijk, via de kruising van de Wielewaal en de Nuenenseweg is gelegen aan een klein winkelcentrum. Jammer genoeg zijn een aantal winkels hier vertrokken. Deze toegangsweg bevindt zich op de opgegeven coördinaten. Wat verderop is er nog een basisschool en een sporthal. Aan het noorden van de wijk zijn de voetbalvelden van VV Geldrop en SK Braakhuizen gelegen. Hierachter bevindt zich industrieterrein de Spaarpot.
Het is een erg kindvriendelijke wijk en dat is ook te merken aan de speeltuintjes en straten. Als je deze cache loopt wil ik vragen om zowel het eigendom van de bewoners als van de gemeente te respecteren. Je moet niet in voortuinen, bloemperkjes, … zijn. Alles is gewoon vanop de straat te vinden. Voor de uiteindelijk cache is er wel wat meer werk, maar deze ligt net buiten de wijk, wel op loopafstand.
Als er een woord gevraagd wordt, deze dan via letterwaarde (A=1, B=2, …), en zo nodig stapeltellen, omzetten naar 1 cijfer. Alle getallen ook stapeltellen.

De Kievit
This multi-cache will take you on a short walk of about 2.5 km in the neighbourhood called “De Kievit”, in the north of Geldrop. The street names used in this neighbourhood are named after (old) plants and herbs.
The neighbourhood was built in the 60s. The great access to the area, through the intersection of Wielewaal and Nuenenseweg is located in a small shopping centre. Unfortunately, some shops left here. This access is located at the specified coordinates of the parking area. At other places in this neighbourhood there is a primary school and a sports hall.
To the north of this neighbourhood there are two football teams (soccer) located: VV Geldrop and SK Braakhuizen. At the other site of the sport fields is a small industrial area, called Spaarpot (Piggy bank).
It is a very family friendly neighbourhood that is also shown in the playgrounds and streets. If you walk this cache I would ask you to respect al properties, both owned by the residents and the municipality. You should not come in gardens, flower beds, ... You can find everything in the street to find this cache. For the final cache, there is a bit more work, but it is just outside the neighbourhood, but within walking distance.
