Geocache Description:

Turen opp er relativt langtekkeleg i uspennande skogsterreng. Turen tek om lag tre timar tur-retur inkludert matpause og tek utgangspunkt ved Gol Stasjon.

Linux koser seg med utsikta frå Dugurdsnatten.
Gå forbi Gol Motor og Fritidspark vest for stasjonen. Fylg først ein skogsveg, deretter er det stig merka Dugurdsnatten.

Det stig jamnt heile tida, men utsikt får ein ikkje før ein er oppe. Då er utsikten upåklageleg. Gol sentrum i framgrunnen og Hemsedalsfjella i bakgrunnen, er eit flott syn.

Vil ein ha ein litt lengre tur, kan ein fylgje merka stig bak høgdene og vidare vestover mot Mjelhovd.

Er ein framleis ivrig, kan ein ta seg vidare vestover mot Benketjern og Benkejuvet. Her er det merka stig ned til Mobrua. Deretter fylgjer ein skogsveg til Gol Stasjon.

Naturen oppå åsen her er så og seie heilt urørt. Eit par hytter er det einaste.

• Ta av ved skilting Gol Stasjon
• Parker ved stasjonen og gå i retning Gol Motor- og Fritidspark

The starting point of the hike is Gol railway station. By car: East from the tourist office. Drive Sentrumsvegen down past Gol Taxi, make a right turn, and cross the bridge. Park here. On foot: As by car.

The hike up is quite long in relatively unexiting wood terrain. Go past Gol Motor & Fritidspark west of the station. At first follow a gravel road, after that there is a trail marked Dugurdsnatten. There is a steady climb all the way up, but no real view until you reach the top. Then the view is great.If you want the hike to last longer, you can follow the marked trail onwards behind the hills and west towards Mjelhovd. If you still want more, you can go further west towards Benketjern and Benkejuvet. Here there is a marked trail down to Mobrua, Moen Bridge. Then follow the dirt road to the station.
