Many of the fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm are well known today. Several have been adapted into Disney movies, while others are classic children's stories. However, they've evolved over the years, and often, the modern versions are a far cry from the originals.
I'm sure you're all familiar with the fairy tale "The Frog Prince", or Der Froschkönig (The Frog King) in Grimm's original German version. However, I'll bet that you didn't know that in the fairy tale, unlike every other modern version you've probably heard of, the girl never actually kisses the prince. It's a bit more violent event that allows him to transform back into his princely form.
A version of the tale can be found at this link: The Frog King.
