I placed this cache to commemorate Thesis-Writing Thursdays, a tradition carried out at a nearby establishment. Every Thursday afternoon for the better part of a year, my friends Fully Completely, dreadsci, and I gathered to partake of certain specially-priced beverages and to work on our PhD theses. We supported each other through triumphs, setbacks, rejected papers, accepted papers, and the vagaries of university bureaucracy. I have since graduated (Dr. toxknits!) and now have a "real job", so sadly my participation in TWT had to come to an end. Every Thursday afternoon I think of my writing buddies and remember our time together. Since both of them are cachers, I thought placing this cache would be the perfect way to say thanks for the support and friendship! 
This location is visible from our usual writing spot...so if you go looking on a Thursday afternoon, the people watching you might be the TWT crew!
Please use stealth and common sense - the winter-friendly hiding spot provides a completely plausible cover story for poking around. The cache is a micro, so BYOP.
