alsjfs: We have decided to archive this cache as it is only a few metres above sea level and vulnerable to waves in the cyclone season (and vulnerable to crabs all year round). On our next visit we will look for an alternative spot at a higher level.

Geocache Description:

Launch your vaka here and paddle out from the reef for a morning’s fishing.

From the cache site you can see across to the Limu Pools, popular for swimming and snorkelling. The main attraction at Limu used to be the extensive coral formations, but these were destroyed by cyclone Heta in January 2004, and have been slow to recover.
