On Friday we will begin building the MEGA Finland 2014 event together with as many people as possible. As the MEGA event will be held entirely by volunteers, also everyones contribution in the building event is important. During the talkoot(*) we will build the entire Geo Village, especially for the Amazing Geocaching taking place on Saturday, but also the merchant area.
Talkoot alkavat perjantaina 11.7.2014 klo 15.00 ja kestävät noin klo 17.00 saakka. Klo 18.00 avataan Geokylän kauppiasalue, joten tähän mennessä pyrimme saamaan kaiken valmiiksi.
Saavu siis tapahtumapaikan koordinaatteihin klo 15.00 kuuntelemaan ohjeistusta (jos tulet myöhässä, pääset varmasti vielä hommiin mukaan!).
Talkoolaiset jaetaan viiteen eri ryhmään, joilla jokaisella on oma tehtävänsä. Voit etukäteen miettiä, mikä puuha sinulle sopii parhaiten ja varustautua sen mukaisesti:
1.) Telttojen pystyttäminen tapahtuma-alueelle sekä kauppiaiden avustaminen
2.) Nuotiopaikkojen varustaminen sekä muut puutyöt (makkaratikut, kisabannereiden tukikepit)
3.) Nimilappujen rei’ittäminen, ohjelmien taittelu ja muiden tulosteiden leikkaaminen Infoon
4.) Kylttien, bannereiden, infotaulujen ym. kiinnittäminen
5.) Oman kisarastin valmistelu
Hommaa nopeuttaa myös se, jos pystyt varautumaan omilla välineillä tehtävään (saksia nimilappujen leikkaamiseen, puukkoja makkaratikkujen veistämiseen ym.).

The building event will begin on Friday, 11-Jul-2014 at 3 pm and continue until about 5 pm. At 6 pm we will open the merchant area of the Geo Village, so our goal is to get everything finished by then.
So, please arrive to the given coordinates by 3 pm to get the instructions. If you arrive late, there will certainly be still work to do.
The volunteers will be divided into five groups, each group having its own function. You could consider in advance, which of these groups would fit you best, and prepare accordingly:
1) Raising the tents to the main venue, and assisting the merchants
2) Preparing the campfire places and other woodwork (like sausage sticks, and banner support stakes)
3) Punching the badges, folding printed programmes, cutting other prints to the Info booth
4) Attaching billboards, banners, bulletin boards etc.
5) Preparing your own checkpoint for Saturday
Preparing with your own tools will also speed things up - scissors for cutting the badges, knives for the sausage sticks, etc.
