ARNOLD #1 Parking Traditional Cache

 Best to walk on the outside rows in numbered order. Either direction. Some of the home owners know of the caches and you dont have to go on private property. Might be little tricker as the summer goes on.

A nice loop around a field on the Valatie Kill Creek. The terrain is flat. We recently started working this land so cleared some brush on the north end.  This is a corn field and for the first time in 15 years or so we had a big problem with Canadian geese pulling the seedling out the ground( they only want the seed so they pull the plant out and eat the seed leaving the plant to die) They do this til the plant gets enough roots and wont pullout the seed without breaking off. This pisses them off!! Leaving the plant on top of the ground to die.This Pisses us off!!! If you pace off 17.5 feet the population should be 35 plants which translates to 35000 plants per acre.. Most damage was on the north end and not worth doing a replant.. The field is very gravely so we did plant a drought tolerant variety( isnt technology great) but very expensive.
