Geocache Description:

To log this Earth Cache please email answers to the following questions:

Note: Logs that have not received approval will be deleted.

1. At the starting coordinates there is a sample of the high pressure tunnel steel liner. From the plaque, how long and thick is the section of the tunnel leading into the power station? What methods were used to put it together?

2. This modern power station has been built to blend in with its environmental surroundings. View both the Clover and Bogong power stations. Describe the aesthetic difference the modern Bogong underground power station has made to local environment compared with the older Clover Power Station.

3. What is growing above the Bogong station?

4. Take a walk around the Lake Guy walking track (circuit) and calculate the approximate distance. Note: The walk uses the bridges that cross Rocky Valley and Pretty Valley creeks.

5. Along the walking track, look at the ‘Tall Timber’ sign. How old does it suggest some of the Manna Gums are in the area? And why only some?

6. From the reference point on the dam wall estimate the height of the dam. Use this in combination with the circumference of the lake walk to approximate the volume of the lake. (assume the lake is cone shaped)
