Let's go to the races! Anybody remember playing the horse racing game that Big Star had about 37 years ago? Big star groceries used to distribute horse racing game pieces that would have your lucky horse numbers on them, then on a certain night of the week {i cant remember what night}.you would have to watch the horse races on tv to see if your horse numbers won the race. if your horse did win you would win a cash prize i belive. fun times!
37 years ago this is the location of that store. The road in front of you was just a 2 lane highway and 295 was a big swamp. lots of trees and fields around.Up the road a little ways there was an oh thank heaven store and an auto grave yard with a very cool standing sign.The sign is still there and with a new paint job.
