The Iron Throne is sought by many though the path is fraught with bloodshed and treachery.
This area is home to many trails that the locals enjoy driving their atvs on. This has created some areas that are muddy and wet. Please wear appropriate attire for muddy, wet feet. :)
This cache will test your patience at the finale. I have designed this to be for people who love to EARN their smiley's. This is the opposite of your local park and grab. For those cachers that persevere through this, please do not leave any hints about what the finale entails.
It will be about a 2 mile hike if done correctly. That 2 mile hike will take you through muddy puddles.
Cell phones are useless out here.
There are 3 stages before the finale.
Stage 1: This stage has proven to be very tricky for cachers due yo severe gps bouncing. To make it easier, we have painted a clue at ground zero. The container with the coords for stage two can be found within about twenty feet of the painted clue. To get to GZ, the coords will take you across the creek. From those coords, venture off the path to your right and approach the rock cliffs which are about a 100 yard walk.
Stage 2: There has been some unfortunate "Mother Nature Happenings" here. The mighty tree has fallen and with it the cool hide that was there. As a result, the stage has been moved to a safer area where the water will not harm it..
Stage 3: A tree on the right side of the path is the key.
Finale: When you get to GZ, venture off the trail to the left and the finale can be found about 20 or so yards off the trail in the rock wall.
Please be careful around the finale and please put it back as found. Please "attempt" the finale in a place where nothing can get lost (perhaps carry it to the trail).
In order to get credit for this cache, you must sign the logbook. Anyone posting a "found it" without signing the logbook will be removed.
