Geocache Description:

Lengvai randamas, bet sunkiai paimamas lobiukas mėgstantiems aukštį arba norintiems pasitobulinti alpinizmo įgūdžius. Easy to find, but hardly reachable cache for those, who like climbing and/or would like to improve climbing skills.

Dabartinė paribio gatvė tarpukariu buvo Vilniaus miesto pakraštyje, iš to ir kilo šis pavadinimas. 1901 m. Žvėryną prijungus prie Vilniaus miesto, ši vieta tapo pačiu tolimiausiu kampeliu nuo miesto centro. Ties lobio vieta prasidėdavo senasis kelias į Viršuliškių kaimą, kuriuo ūkininkai gabendavo derlių į Žvėryno malūną, važiuodavo į miestą. Nuėmus lobiuką galima paėjėti į kalną vedančiu taku ir pasiekti Viršuliškių mikrorajoną, čia pat įrengtas ir Karoliniškių kraštovaizdžio draustinio informacinis stendas.

Contemporary street of Paribys during the mid-war period was the very edge of Vilnius city territory, that's where the name came from (Paribys means edge in Lithuanian). When district of Zverynas was joint to Vilnius city in 1901, this place has become the most farthest spot from city center. At the place of cache the old road to Virsuliskes village (now a district of city) started and people where going through this place with all their businesses to the city. After logging the cache You may walk through the old road to the Virsuliskes district. Also, You will find an info-board for Reservation of Karoliniskes landscape just 10 meters away from the cache.
