Each of the caches is more than a mile from the closest parking point so you will get a little exercise along the way. When you find each the three caches you will be given a clue for the final. The final is in a neighborhood park and is the easiest of the series – it’s simply a reward for completing all three phases of the triathlon. However, you MUST complete all three triathlon phases before logging a smiley on the final. No exceptions. If you plan properly you can do the entire series in a day, but there is no time limit on getting any or all of the caches. Find them at your leisure and enjoy some really nice areas of Deep Creek.
This is the water phase of the triathlon and you WILL need a boat in order to retrieve this cache. The cache is located on the Deep Creek branch of the Elizabeth River and is accessible by kayaks and motor boats alike. There are several locations to launch within a few miles. Send me a note if you can’t find them. Don’t forget to note the clue.
