The closet unrestricted parking in on Seahill Dr immediately south of Palos Verdes Drive S. (N 33 44.676, W 118 23.474.) The trail head is well hidden behind bushes, right across the street on the north side of PV Drive. (N 33 44.711, W 118 23.493.)
This is an easy hike if you go only as far as the cache then turn back. Sturdy shoes OK, not boots. In Spring part of the trail to the cache is full of wildflowers so bright they might affect your eye color cones!
Of course you can continue on this trail way up in the hills, eventually coming out on McBride Trail, a gain of maybe 800’.
