West Side Highpoint @ Sheridan Lake Traditional Cache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

zacknmom: I adopted this cache from Team Furrballs and checked on it today. I am disabling this for now due to ongoing road construction on 385S. The parking for this cache is presently in use by the construction crew as a parking area for excavators. This location is in the current pilot car route as well, so there is no stopping here. I will check on this monthly and 'write note' in the log regarding the availability of a safe parking area for accessing this cache.

Geocache Description:

NOTE: It is highly recommended that you park at the suggested coordinates across the highway, then cross on foot to the tiny pullout and gate. There is extremely limited sight distance on 385 both north and southbound if you park at the gate, and there's only room for 1, maybe 2 vehicles.

This cache is the second of four caches placed along or near an old road / hiking trail on the west side of Sheridan Lake. None of these are especially hard, and are fairly easy to find. The hide styles are all somewhat different, as is each cache container. Pay attention to the terrain ratings. This particular cache is up on a small rocky hill near the trail with a nice view of the surrounding area.

You are looking for a small lockable container hidden among the rocks. Be sure to re-hide as well as you found it.

As with all our caches, stay safe and have fun!
