How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

NOTE: It is highly recommended that you park at the suggested coordinates across the highway, then cross on foot to the tiny pullout and gate. There is extremely limited sight distance on 385 both north and southbound if you park at the gate, and there's only room for 1, maybe 2 vehicles.

This cache takes you to a nice view of the NW corner of Sheridan Lake. However, there is NO trail to or from this one. There are a couple of hills and valleys you need to navigate across, along with downed trees and other rocky spots. However, once you're there, it's worth the trip. Please note the higher terrain rating because of those factors. The easiest way TO the cache, is to come up from below, at the nearby Marina View cache. Getting back to where you started - at the gate, is a bit of a haul. In any case, choose your route carefully.

You are looking for a small Decon container with the normal assortment of cache stuff. Please be sure to close the container well, listen for the 4 snaps as you close each corner. Also be sure to re-hide as good as you found it.

As with all our caches, stay safe and have fun!
