This cache is published in conjunction with the Sussex Cachers Beach BBQ II Event. It is not necessary to have attended to be able to solve this puzzle and find the cache.

Nothing is to be gained by visiting the listed coordinates. I hope you enjoy this puzzle.

Beach BBQ Brainteaser

Last year’s Sussex Cachers Beach BBQ was a great success, and the local cachers were eagerly awaiting this year’s event and hoping for just as good weather and cake! Whilst out caching together on a local series the five cachers were trying to remember at what time each of them had arrived and left the event and also what each of them had eaten.

Using the clues below can you help them to remember?

1. Cakes on the Canter left the BBQ half an hour earlier than Hoghandler.

2. The cacher who ate the tasty marinated Chicken Leg arrived ten minutes earlier than the one who ate the Steak. The cacher who ate the steak left ten minutes later than Toohpiggs.

3. The cacher who arrived first was also the first to leave. They stayed exactly the same amount of time at the event as the cacher who chomped their way through a juicy Steak.

4. Joe the Toe left ten minutes earlier than the cacher who ate the superb Kebab Skewer and who arrived twenty minutes earlier than the one who left at 3:30pm after consuming a large number of Sausages!

A = Add the number of letters in the food that Joe the Toe and Luckylookers ate and divide this by two.
B = Take the third letter of the person’s name that ate the Steak and give it a number (eg. a=1, b=2…) then subtract one.
C = Count the number of letters in the food that Cakes on the Canter ate and subtract two.
D = The first digit of the minutes when Hoghandler left.
E = Calculate the total number of minutes that Luckylookers stayed for. Add all the digits in this number together and add one.
F = The first digit of the minutes that Cakes on the Canter arrived plus the first digit of the minutes that Joe the Toe arrived minus one.
G = The number of letters in the food that Toohpiggs ate minus six.
H = Work out the total number of minutes that Hoghandler stayed for. Add all the digits in this number together and subtract three.

For the final coordinates you should have a Checksum of 52 for all 15 digits.
