Geocache Description:

This is my Old Barns I've Played At Series, I'll try to get caches at all of the rinks I've played in but I think some of them already have caches.

This cache is located near a rink that I can't remember many distinct stories about. I know I've played here, probably for several tournaments, but no games that spring to mind as anything important. All I know is that it was built in 1967 to celebrate the centennial birthday of Canada. At one time the rink was home to the Centennial Hawks but today, this is one of three homes (please correct me if I'm wrong) for the Halifax Hawks, who's colours are red black and white, mimicking the Chicago Black Hawks and reflected here in the text. One famous Halifax Hawk is Steven Dixon who I'm sure I've boo-ed in the past since he played for the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. This rink is also home to Halifax West High School's hockey teams. Look for other caches in this series at rinks around the province.
