Geocache Description:

This is my Old Barns I've Played At Series, I'll try to get caches at all of the rinks I've played in but I think some of them already have caches.

This cache is located near a rink that I have spent a lot of time in, probably most of my SEDMHA memories were made here. The West Hants Warriors always battled hard against Cole Harbour, they were tough and for good reason. You may have seen the sign down the road that tells this is the home of the modern darling of the NHL, Sidney Crosby. Some people think he's a hockey god, others think he's a Prima Donna, he's a mixed bag in this town. All I can say is remember the QMJHL playoffs when he played for the Rimouski Oceanic, he broke his stick on the boards and the back of the Mooseheads net when he missed shots and then tossed it at the crowd. Sid the Kid isn't the only famous hockey player to come out of this rink either, there's local hero Nathan McKinnon who has won (as of this cache listing) the Calder trophy and Memorial Cup and played for the Moose. Today this rink is home to the Cole Harbour Red Wings who's colours resemble the Detroit Red Wings of course, red and white, as is reflected in the text of the cache description. Look for other caches in this series at rinks around the province.
