This person was from the "old school" train of thought and was annoyed by anyone and everything that didn't share his narrow view of the world. He was an uneducated, ignorant, bigoted, brash, blue-collar worker. His small thinking never made him many friends and he consequently spent a lot of time with his foot in his mouth. His wife of 30 plus years was often the voice of reason and about the only person he would listen too. They only had one child, a girl. He strongly supported President Richard E. Nixon and was also a supporter of Ronald Reagan, writing him in on the ballot for the 1976 election. Growing up he was very poor and had been forced to drop out of high school during the Great Depression to help support his family. He enjoyed cigars and sometimes drove a taxi cab for extra money. He had a brother named Fred and his father had worked for the railroad. He had served in the Army Air Corps in Italy during World War II. Later in life he went on to own his own tavern.
