TUBULAR- SHANNON LAKE SERIES Traditional Cache

This cache set up in spring 2014 is part of a water based series designed for LIVING SKIES – HUMAN POWERED WATERCRAFT EVENT at SHANNON LAKE (GC557X2). Please look for the cache as part of the July 17, ’14 LIVING SKIES event. Watch for more caches closer to the event. All are designed to be found FIRST as part of GC557X2. Some will be published only on the day of the event and be shared as a print out.

All caches are on public land and cannot be reached except by a human powered watercraft.  Once winter arrives and the lake is solid ice, there will be other ways to reach our caches.  Please leave the FTF for those participating in the event which starts on Thurs., July 17 at 10 am.  All are welcome to join us!

The cache is close to the southern edge of the lake. You are looking for a well cammoed preform tube.  You may need to expand your search to the west since the satellites did not provide very exact readings.

Ambitious paddlers can circle the lake for even more caches.  Please note that the lake can get quite rough.  Keep an eye on the weather.  Due to the high water levels and beaver activity with many underwater logs, the caches will be hard to reach in motor boats.
